Terms of Service

‍ ‍

Livsrum Therapy, LLC Last Updated: August 27, 2026

‍ ‍

1. Acceptance of Terms

‍ ‍

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website located at www.livsrumtherapy.com (the "Site"), operated by Livsrum Therapy, LLC ("Livsrum Therapy," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, requesting an appointment, or communicating with us through the Site, phone, text message, or email, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

‍ ‍

2. Not a Substitute for Emergency Care

‍ ‍

Livsrum Therapy provides outpatient psychotherapy services and does not provide emergency or crisis services. This Site is not monitored continuously and should never be used to communicate an emergency.

‍ ‍

If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or go to your nearest emergency department. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (988lifeline.org) is available 24/7, is free and confidential, and is available to anyone in crisis or anyone concerned about someone else.

‍ ‍

3. Use of the Site

‍ ‍

The Site is intended to provide general information about Livsrum Therapy and the services offered by Mary Frances LaHood, LCSW-C, and to allow prospective and current clients to request appointments and communicate with our practice. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

‍ ‍

You agree not to:

‍ ‍

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or any systems connected to it

  • Use the Site to transmit any harmful, threatening, abusive, or unlawful content

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity when requesting an appointment or communicating with our practice

‍ ‍

4. No Doctor-Patient or Therapist-Client Relationship Formed by Site Use

‍ ‍

Browsing the Site, submitting a contact form, or requesting an appointment does not, by itself, create a therapist-client relationship. A therapist-client relationship is established only after intake is completed, informed consent is signed, and services formally begin. Information on the Site is general in nature and is not a substitute for individualized clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

‍ ‍

5. Client Portal

‍ ‍

Appointment scheduling, secure messaging, and certain billing functions may be handled through a third-party client portal (currently accessed via the "Portal" link on our Site). Your use of the client portal is also governed by that provider's terms of use and privacy policy. Livsrum Therapy is not responsible for the availability or technical performance of third-party platforms.

‍ ‍

6. Fees, Good Faith Estimates & Cancellations

‍ ‍

Current session rates are posted on our Investment page and are subject to change. Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are not using insurance to pay for services have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. Cancellation policies, payment terms, and related billing details are provided separately in your client intake and informed consent paperwork, which govern in the event of any conflict with this Site.

‍ ‍

7. Text Messaging (SMS) Communications

‍ ‍

7.1 Program Description. With your prior express consent, Livsrum Therapy may send you text messages related to appointment reminders, scheduling and rescheduling, intake and paperwork follow-ups, billing notices, and general practice-related administrative communications ("SMS Program"). Text messages are not used for marketing or promotional purposes.

‍ ‍

7.2 Opt-In. You may opt in to receive text messages by providing your mobile phone number and affirmatively consenting through our intake forms, appointment request forms, the client portal, or by texting our practice number directly. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any services.

‍ ‍

7.3 Message Frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your appointment schedule and the nature of your communications with our practice.

‍ ‍

7.4 Message and Data Rates. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

‍ ‍

7.5 Opt-Out. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send "STOP," we will send a confirmation message and you will no longer receive text messages from us unless you re-opt in.

‍ ‍

7.6 Help. For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at [practice email] or [practice phone number].

‍ ‍

7.7 Supported Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. This program is available on major U.S. wireless carriers. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

‍ ‍

7.8 No Sharing for Marketing. Mobile phone numbers and text message opt-in consent obtained through this SMS Program are not shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

‍ ‍

7.9 Confidential Health Information. Please do not use text messaging to send detailed clinical information, describe a mental health crisis, or communicate anything you would consider urgent. Text messaging is not encrypted end-to-end and, while we take reasonable steps to protect your privacy, it is not a fully secure clinical communication channel. For crisis situations, see Section 2 above.

‍ ‍

‍ ‍

‍ ‍

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

‍ ‍

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Livsrum Therapy, LLC and its owner, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
